I like layers and mixes, in both, context and as a technique.
I use different paints with ready-made materials (fabric, lace, artificial
flowers), and occasionally, I use calligraphy and words to enhance compositions.
I try to capture relationships of stagnation and change, of love and luck,
and of holy and wicked.
Tales, mythology and religion, alongside everyday life and popular culture,
are the inspiration for my vocabulary: The “Valiant One” is gay,
the “Siren” is addicted to roses, the “Vase” is annoyed
by decoration, and the “Virgin of Guadalupe” likes Cuban coffee.
